Condition Report

Motorhome & Travel Trailer Condition Report

250,00 €
incl. VAT, travel costs by arrangement

The condition report records how a motorhome or travel trailer really stands – regardless of whether anything has just happened to it. It is aimed at sellers who want to substantiate a price, at buyers who need certainty about moisture and onboard systems before the handover, and at rental operators who have to document the handover condition before and after the season. You receive an illustrated condition record that assesses the base vehicle and the habitation structure separately, lists the fittings and onboard systems individually, and includes a leak-tightness record covering the wall areas measured.

What the report covers

  • Leak-tightness: moisture measurement at all wall elements, roof areas, window frames, roof vents, wall joints and service hatches, with a measurement log for each point. Leaking seams cause consequential damage inside the wall structure that nobody can see from the outside – the log is the basis for the leak-tightness record.
  • Habitation structure: condition of the sandwich walls, bulges and blisters as indications of delamination, ageing of bonded seams and sealants, hail marks on the roof, condition of the awning and the pop-top roof.
  • Interior: wear on furniture fronts, worktop and floor covering, condition of the upholstery and mattresses down to the seams and covers, and the operation of drawers, latches, blinds, folding tables and bed adjustment.
  • Onboard systems: functional testing of the heater, water heater, refrigerator, water installation, pump, fresh and waste water tanks, leisure battery, solar system and charging equipment.
  • Gas system: visual inspection of the cylinder locker, mountings, lines, regulators and appliances, together with documentation of the gas system inspection at its current status, which is regularly required for sale and rental.
  • Base vehicle and running gear: chassis, corrosion on load-bearing parts, tire age, brakes and mileage; on a travel trailer instead the drawbar, overrun brake, coupling, corner steadies and axle as separate inspection points, since there is no drivetrain here.
  • Value and classification: current value taking account of the layout variant, optional equipment and time spent standing, with a list of identifiable defects and how urgent they are.

How it works

  1. Appointment: you give us the vehicle type, the layout and the reason – sale, purchase, rental or taking stock after the season.
  2. Inspection: a walk-around on the outside of the habitation structure, moisture measurement point by point, recording of the interior and upholstery, a functional run of the onboard systems, inspection of the gas system, and photo documentation throughout.
  3. Evaluation: classification of the findings, separating normal wear on a motorhome that has been used from defects in the structure or the systems that need putting right, followed by the current value assessment.
  4. Report: you receive the documentation digitally, as a rule on the same business day once it is complete, including the measurement log and photographs, and therefore ready to pass straight to a buyer, a renter or a sales platform.

The condition report is prepared for a fixed price, regardless of the size and specification of the vehicle. There is no additional billing by time spent, even if measuring the habitation structure takes longer than expected; we agree the journey to the storage pitch, the campsite or winter storage in advance.

Frequently asked questions

What is the leak-tightness record worth when selling?

Moisture is the first thing every motorhome buyer asks about. A measurement log with values for each wall area answers the question factually and removes the biggest uncertainty from the price discussion. Without proof, experience shows the buyer will simply negotiate downward across the board.

Are the fittings and furniture really inspected individually?

Yes. The kitchen unit, washroom, seating group and beds account for a considerable share of the value. We check their mounting, surfaces and function, along with the condition of the upholstery and mattresses and the gas and water installations, and we record wear item by item rather than in general terms.

Is the report suitable for rental use?

It is frequently used for that. The illustrated record of the interior and the upholstery and the functional test of the entire onboard system document the handover condition before the season. If the vehicle comes back with new marks or a broken heater, the difference can be proven rather than asserted.

Are there differences between a motorhome and a travel trailer?

On a travel trailer the engine and drivetrain are absent, while the drawbar, overrun brake, corner steadies, coupling and axle come in as separate inspection points, all of which see heavy use. The habitation structure, moisture measurement, interior, gas system and onboard systems we treat identically for both.
